Our excellent safety record is based on 100 years of working with groups on our current site. We welcome some 10,000 visitors each year and it is, therefore, essential our centre operates strict Health and Safety procedures.
We take extra special care in recruiting and training our staff. Everyone who joins us is subject to a AccessNI check. Proof of all qualifications is obtained and at least two references sought. In addition to all previous professional training, we put all our staff through an intensive induction training programme before they begin to work with you. The result is a consistently high standard of safety and enjoyment.
First Aid training is mandatory for all Greenhill YMCA activity staff
All activities and facilities are regularly risk assessed. In addition, regular independent inspections of our Health and safety procedures and operating practices are carried out
Greenhill YMCA are holders of the Adventure Mark Award (safety accreditation scheme devised by the Adventure Activity Industry Advisory Committee)
