Summer Camp 2019 is now closed
Summertime means Adventure Time and our Summer Camp provides your child with the ideal adventure.
Each week throughout July and August (7 Weeks Total) we create an experience that ensures your child a week full of FUN, ADVENTURE and CHALLENGE.
Since 1936, Greenhill YMCA has been providing Adventure Camps for young people between 6 and 14 years old.
Today, we run 3 Camps for approximately 600 children and young people.
How to book
You can now book online using our Summer Camp selections above. Just be sure to book the right camp for your age group.
You can also book a place in person by visiting us at Greenhill YMCA, Newcastle, Co. Down.
Unfortunately, we can not confirm any booking until we have received full payment and a completed consent form.
Registration
One of the most important aspects to ensuring a safe Summer Camp is your help at registration.
Each day you must sign your child/children in and out of Camp. At registration, you can also alert our staff to any medical conditions your child may have and leave medication (E.g. Epi-pens) with our trained staff.
Registration opens between 8:40am-9:15am and 3:55pm-4:10pm
What to Bring on a daily basis
Each day it is essential that your child arrives equipped for the day ahead. There are really just three things to remember. Firstly, we have a programme largely based on a range of outdoor activities often involving water and mud. As such your child/children should come in old clothes and trainers. They should bring a change of trousers, t-shirt, underwear, socks, trainers and a towel. A warm, waterproof coat and hat is also advisable on colder days and a hat and sun cream is advisable on warmer day. Secondly, they should bring a packed lunch (which can be left off at registration). We have no lunchtime catering on site. Thirdly, we recommend that your child / children should come wearing midge spray. This can be quite a big problem on still days at Greenhill.
